Cutie Marks

Fiancé and I wanted cutie marks that we could make removable since they were being attached to formal garments. I had a nice purple dress lying around in my closet and we got Fiancé a 3 piece white suit, a nice purple tie, and white shoes. Here I made the cutie marks from felt, fabric glue, and glitter =) I stuck them on using snaps that we could easily snip off of the suit/dress as needed.

The suit and dress we used for Rarity and Twilight.

Pony Ears and Unicorn Horns

This was actually really easy. I tried using sculpy clay at first but I had a hard time getting even thicknesses so they baked funny in the oven. I instead used model magic. The model magic was also a lot lighter than the sculpty which made them easier to wear.

Rarity’s Hair

So the Anime Convention is coming up in Atlanta and so Fiancé and I are going to that =)

There’s a formal ball on Friday evening that we’re planning on going to. I’ll be Twilight Sparkle and he’s going as Rarity. This was a spur of the moment last decision basically because I have a purple prom dress and formal attire is required but “Formal Cosplay is preferred.” So0o, I put on my thinking cap and though, “Hey! My little pony! All we need is some colorful hair, some ears, and we’re good to go!”

This is for how to dye Rarity’s hair. Since Fiancé is male … we were told that apparently the “male version of Rarity” has a name and his name is “Elusive”. Anyway … Elusive’s or Rarity’s hair.
